Welcome to the Heart of Your Home
Mairéad Wright and Emily Wilton-Keely, are the innovative sisters-in-business behind Holland Interiors. With two decades of individual renovation projects in East London and Bishop’s Stortford under their belts, the duo has a wealth of experience. Their journey in design began early, envisioning a partnership from childhood, and it truly took shape after Mairéad’s formal training at the KLC School of Design and Emily’s venture into print design during her maternity leave.
Their company, initially Wild Hearts Wonder, began as a print house for home fabrics, wallpapers, and clothing. However, their focus has since shifted towards residential interiors, retaining the original ethos of offering bespoke services that manage entire renovation projects. Their unique offering includes personalised prints and comprehensive design services tailored to enhance each client’s home uniquely.
In the article Mairéad shared her passion for integrating personal treasures into her designs, like a cherished painting from Cornwall that inspires her colour choices. Emily, on the other hand, reminisced about the Wildcats wallpaper from their first collection, which holds special meaning as the spark for their successful design career.
They also discuss current trends in interior design, noting a resurgence of natural materials such as walnut and white oak in kitchens, and the increasing demand for natural stone in both kitchens and bathrooms, emphasizing these elements’ timeless appeal and versatility.
